Abstract

Many crypto systems, such as Atalla (tm), provide the ability to compute a value for a DES cryptographic key that can be used to verify whether the key value was entered properly at another location. ICSF does not have this ability as a utility function. This sample application provides ISPF panels that can be used to specify a label of existing key in the CKDS and display the key check value, also called check digits, for the key value. Also supports clear DES (CLRDES) and AES (CLRAES) keys.It is also a rework of KCV4ISPF with fewer calls and a more direct interface.
