"General network error" during overnight macro execution on Virtual Server(s)

Troubleshooting


Problem

"Unable to execute the statement.TCP Provider: The specified network name is no longer available... ...Error number -2147467259 was raised by Microsoft SQL Native Client. Native RDBMS error 64... ...General network error. Check your network documentation." is thrown during macro execution at the same time each night, or at regular intervals. The process works as expected at all other times.
