GCP Billing. Workload Cost Breakdown chart does not not show data up to the current date for GCP accounts.

Troubleshooting


Problem

As per the following example screenshot the GCP Workload Cost Breakdown chart is not showing data up to the current date/time following the successful addition of a GCP Billing target. 

Symptom

<Workload cost breakdown chart> 
For GCP accounts this chart gathers it's data from the GCP Billing target.
If the GCP Billing target is not working there would be nothing in the chart at all for GCP accounts but in this case we do see data but only up to one week ago not up to the current time:
