Functional ID
The data standard used determines the functional ID ormessage type found in the data. For example for the ANSI X12 andthe UCS standards the functional ID is taken from the functionalgroup header segment of the data. In addition for the UN/EDIFACTand TRADACOMS standards the functional ID represents the messagetype. The following table contains the location of functional IDsidentifying the group or message type:
