Troubleshooting
Problem
Loading a data set with applied filters against a flat table or the dimensional parts of a modeled star schema is generating a MIN aggregation within the SQL. The MIN aggregation prevents the database index to be leveraged and a full table scan is taking place.
The same setup is not generating the MIN aggregation in a report.
Symptom
Slow Performance and Index on Oracle database not leveraged when loading data set.
