Problem
This document will describe a shortcut in sending file from PC to i5.
Resolving The Problem
When you FTP from DOS to iSeries. you do not need to issue a CD command (Change Directory) for documents
and settings/administer/desktop and then the file name, before the FTP command or the LCD after the FTP
command is initiated. You may do a drag file from PC to DOS prompt, and it plugs in the PATH and FILE name that
you need.

After drag and drop of the desktop item to the DOS window:
Next, you should change the iSeries name.
You may still need to use the appropriate FTP subcommands of BIN / NAMEFMT.
