Flashes (Alerts)

Abstract

FlashSystem 9500 systems are susceptible to a critical issue that can result in node warmstarts and an array being taken offline when a single drive fails, causing loss of host access to data.

This issue is resolved by APAR SVAPAR-170657 in 8.6.0.9, 8.7.0.6, 8.7.3.3 and 9.1.0.0.

Content

IBM strongly encourages all FlashSystem 9500 systems to be upgraded to a level containing this fix as soon as possible.
