APARs fixed in DB2 Content Manager Version 8.4.2
| APAR | Brief problem description |
| DB2 Content Manager | |
| IO09230 | After upgrading the resource manager from Version 7.1 to Version 8.3 by using the refresh 1 migration utility, you might experience problems with volume free space not being reclaimed after content delete operations. This problem only occurs when the resource manager is configured with an Oracle database. |
| IO09637 | DB2 Content Manager V8.4 resource manager replication does not function correctly. |
| IO09661 | If text search data tracing is enabled (ICMDEBUG=4), incorrect trace data might be written to the icmserver.fetchfilter.from_postretrieve_exit log file when the text search user exit is used. |
| IO09944 | The system administration client LDAP configuration does not enforce the LDAP server timeout range (0-99). |
| IO10095 | When using a particular domain name, the system administrator client cannot find LDAP users. |
| IO10178 | When DB2 Content Manager Version 8.4.1 is installed without a database, an incorrect error message is displayed. |
| IO10180 | DB2 Content Manager workflow runs slowly, causing timeout errors while items are retrieved from worklists. |
| IO10235 | The process verification of circular logic in a workflow process might cause the system to stop. |
| IO10253 | The LDAP dialog box is not activated after the system administrator LDAP button is clicked when the incorrect Java path is used. |
| IO10266 | Although the LDAP server allows duplicate UIDs to be used, LDAP import scheduler cannot handle duplicate UIDs. |
| IO10272 | After a user creates an item type with a child component in the system administration client, the child component is missing when the item type property is viewed. |
| IO10303 | During the installation of DB2 Information Integrator for Content Version 8.4.1, config_II4C will ask for ORACLE_HOME if the library server database is not installed in the installing machine. |
| IO10310 | In the system administration client, defining a decision point with the item type attribute causes a performance delay. |
| IO10398 | Resource manager support for cataloged content does not correctly store the file path to the content. Subsequent retrieval requests will fail with the error DGL7161A ("The system cannot find the file specified"). |
| IO10453 | Document content is stored in an invalid null directory, which is not accessed in subsequent retrievals. |
| IO10457 | After an item type becomes record-enabled, if you attempt to update the "is e-record" attribute to "aut" on an item that was created before that item type became record-enabled, the update attribute operation will fail. |
| IO10654 | On DB2 Content Manager library servers that use an Oracle database, updating DB2 Content Manager user-defined LOB attribute values greater than 32,000 bytes in length does not update the object, nor does it produce any errors. Initial stores for a LOB attribute are not affected. This problem does not occur on Content Manager library servers that use a DB2 database. |
| IO10662 | Upgrading a DB2 Content Manager installation that uses an Oracle database to Version 8.4.1 or 8.4.2 can fail if USERPRIVSETCODE is set to 8 (trusted log-on enabled). |
| IO10668 | Resource manager limits the size of the staging area to less than 2 GB. |
| IO10733 | The text search user-defined function (UDF) does not verify the size of the document returned by the resource manager. |
| DB2 Information Integrator for Content | |
| IO09625 | In eClient, the processes listed on the Change Process page are not sorted by default. |
| IO09878 | When opening multiple documents with the document viewer, the eClient toolbar displays a 404 "page not found" error. |
| IO09941 | Content Manager Records Enabler audit tasks consume too many resources and take a long time to complete. |
| IO10176 | The Java viewer's rendering of certain TIFF documents is blurry. |
| IO10205 | The DB2 Information Integrator for Content Version 8.4.1 OnDemand Connector on Linux cannot connect to the OnDemand Server Version 8.4.1. |
| IO10248 | Inserting a duplicate row in the ICMADMIN.FAUSERMAP table when it has a unique constraint causes an SQL duplicate row error. |
| IO10264 | The getConnection() and freeConnection() methods of the com.ibm.mm.beans.CMBConnectionPool class needs more detailed logging. |
| IO10348 | In eClient, AVI documents cannot be opened properly when directRetrieveEnabled is set to true in the IDM.properties file. |
| IO10381 | When a multi-page Microsoft Office document has annotations on multiple pages, the Java viewer does not always render all of the annotations. |
| IO10388 | When using Client for Windows or the C++ API, re-indexing a document from NOINDEX to another item type might fail with error ICM9804 if the client retrieval event logging is enabled for the target item type. |
| IO10395 | CMBENTITY cannot return a sub-entitiy if the component ID of the sub-entity is greater than 32K. |
| IO10435 | An XMLStreamWriter not-found exception is thrown in CMBGenericWebService because it is not in the classpath. |
| IO10462 | Connections in CMBConnectionPool that are released into the pool become unavailable for waiting threads. |
| IO10540 | FILENOTFOUNDEXCEPTION might be thrown for DKBLOB class when running JavaBeans applications. |
| IO10570 | Calling the resource manager querySMSInfor() method fails with error ICM9717. |
| IO10601 | The log4j class is continuously reloaded if the log4j class is not found. |
| IO10656 | Certain JPEG files cause the Java viewer to generate a java.lang.ArithmeticException. |
| IO10801 | In eClient, confusing Java Bean logging causes performance degradation. |
| Client for Windows | |
| eClient | |
| IO10025 | The error messages for workflow toolbar actions do not provide useful information. |
| IO10557 | eClient configuration fails if the default profile does not exist. |
| z/OS library server | |
| PK85574 | A user can receive DB2 error -551 (user does not have the privilege to perform ALTER) while attempting to add or modify a foreign key constraint on an item type. |
