Problem
Searching and adding Mozilla Firefox does not integrate Firefox as a web browser in IBM Rational Functional Tester 8.x
Symptom
Mozilla Firefox is installed correctly on your system but IBM Rational Functional Tester does not detect it. See picture below.
Cause
IBM Rational Functional Tester supports the Mozilla Firefox web browser up to version 17. IBM Rational Functional Tester does not support Mozilla Firefox 18 releases and newer.
Environment
Windows XP, Windows 7 Enterprise 32, 64 bit.

Resolving The Problem
This example refers to the US English Mozilla Firefox.
- Download Mozilla Firefox 17 from the Mozilla ftp server (US version).
- Uninstall your current Mozilla Firefox version from your system.
- Install Mozilla Firefox 17 that you have downloaded in step 1.
- Click on Configure >Enable Environments for Testing... from the dropdown menu.
- Perform a new search in IBM Rational Functional Tester 8.x by clicking on Search....
This action will result in detecting and installing Firefox in IBM Rational Functional Tester.
