- SFTP → 22

- Host URL or IP
- Username

Steps
1. Open FileZilla
Launch the FileZilla Client on your system.
2. Enter FTP Server Credentials
In the Quickconnect section at the top:
- Host: FTP server domain or IP
- Username: Provided account username
- Password: Provided account password
- Port: 21 (FTP) or 22 (SFTP)
Example:
Host: ftp.example.com
Username: ftp_user
Password: ********
Port: 21
3. Click “Quickconnect”
- FileZilla attempts to connect to the remote server.
- Approve any security or certificate prompts if displayed.
- Once connected, you will see:
- Left panel: Local machine files
- Right panel: Remote server files
4. Navigate & Check Data
4.1 Browse Directories
- Use the Remote Site panel (right side) to open folders.
- File listings appear below the directory tree.
4.2 Download Files to Inspect Data
- Right‑click any file or folder → select Download.
- FileZilla transfers it to the selected local directory.
- Open the downloaded file locally to review data.
4.3 View/Edit Files Directly (Optional)
- Right‑click a file → select View/Edit.
- File opens in your default editor for quick inspection.
- Temporary copies are managed automatically.
5. Verify Transfer Status
At the bottom panel:
- Successful transfers: Lists files copied correctly
- Failed transfers: Retry failed items if needed
6. Disconnect
Once done:
- Go to Server → Disconnect
or - Close FileZilla
