FileNet Content Manager: Cannot create data sources with an SSL-enabled database

Troubleshooting


Problem

This issue occurs in an environment where SSL is enabled on the database server. When you try to create a new JDBC data source by using the Configuration Manager, database connection issues prevent the data sources from being created.

Symptom

The following errors might occur during the attempt to create new data sources:

WASX7209I: Connected to process "dmgr" on node Dmgr01 using SOAP connector; The type of process is: DeploymentManager
testing Database connection

DSRA8040I: Failed to connect to the DataSource null. Encountered java.sql.SQLNonTransientException: [jcc][t4][2034][11148][4.21.29] Execution failed due to a distribution protocol error that caused deallocation of the conversation.

A DRDA Data Stream Syntax Error was detected. Reason: 0x3. ERRORCODE=-4499, SQLSTATE=58009 DSRA0010E: SQL State = 58009, Error Code = -4,499.
