Troubleshooting
Problem
Normally a WebSphere profile would only contain one security.xml file for each application server. However, if there happen to be multiple security.xml files within the same profile directory (e.g. "C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\AppSrv01"), then the "Configure Login Modules" task will fail with the following error: WASX7209I: Connected to process "dmgr" on node host01CellManager01 using SOAP connector; The type of process is: DeploymentManager ConfigureJAASLoginmodules WASX7017E: Exception received while running file "/software/filenet/ContentEngine/tools/configure/tmp/configureloginmodules.tcl"; exception information: com.ibm.ws.scripting.ScriptingException: WASX7025E: Error found in String "{_Websphere_Config_Data_Display_Name=(cells/host01Cell01/nodes/host01Node01/servers/server1|security.xml#Security_1111111111111) , _Websphere_Config_Data_Id=cells/host01Cell01|security.xml#Security_2222222222222}"; cannot create ObjectName.
Cause
Having multiple security.xml files under the same WAS profile.
Diagnosing The Problem
Check the error message when running the "Configure Login Modules" task, and also look for multiple security.xml files under the same WAS profile.
Resolving The Problem
Keep the security.xml file under "<WAS Profile Home>/config/cells/<Cell Name>/" and remove all other instances of security.xml file under the "<WAS Profile Home>/" folder. Make sure to check all subfolders for any instances of that file.
