Failed system command error when Express is installed from a remote computer

Troubleshooting


Problem

You must install IBM Cognos Express from a local disk. Installing from a mapped network drive, a UNC path, or a network share will fail.

Symptom

You are installing Express and the following message appears:

Failed system command

""path"-jar

"path" -commandName

"path" - dataFilePath

"path" -logFile

"path" - setUpDir

"path"".

Exit the Installation Wizard?
