Enabling Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) security on Integrated Management Module (IMM) web Graphical User Interface (GUI) does not work and results in the error: 'dojo.byId...).value'is null or not an object'.

Symptom

Enabling Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) security on Integrated Management Module (IMM) web Graphical User Interface (GUI) does not work and results in the error:

  'dojo.byId...).value'is null or not an object'.

Affected configurations

The system may be any of the following IBM servers:

  • iDataPlex dx360 M4 2U chassis, type 7913, any model
  • iDataPlex dx360 M4 server, type 7912, any model

This tip is not software specific.

This tip is not option specific.

The system has the symptom described above.

Solution

This behavior was corrected in IMM firmware update version 3.10, Build ID: 1AOO48H and later.

The file is available by selecting the appropriate Product Group, type of System, Product name, Product machine type, and operating system on IBM Support's Fix Central web page, at the following URL:

http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/

Workaround

Use the following Command Line Interface (CLI) command to enable LDAP security:

  'ssl -ce on'
