Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) in AMOS

Troubleshooting

Problem

I would like to do an exploratory factor analysis (EFA) within AMOS. According to a recent paper by Hessen et al. (2006), an EFA will not be identified within the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) framework unless we constrain the Lambda-transposed*Lambda matrix to be diagonal. (See p. 237 of Hessen. Lambda is the factor loading matrix.) Is it possible to apply this constraint in AMOS? If not, can an EFA model be identified in AMOS? Hessen, D.J., Dolan, C.V., & Wicherts, J.M. (2006) The Multigroup Common Factor Model With Minimal Uniqueness Constraints and the Power to Detect Uniform Bias. Applied Psychological Measurement, 30 (3), 233-246
