Execution of db_optimization_tool.sh results in Oracle error: ORA-01418: specified index does not exist
Symptom
Execution of internal GIS SHELL script db_optimization_tool.sh results in an Oracle database error: ORA-01418: specified index does not exist
This GIS system includes additional custom database tables which were manually added to the same Oracle tablespace in which the GIS database tables were installed.
A number of custom database INDEXES were also manually created within a few of these corresponding custom database tables.
One of these custom INDEXES is owned by Oracle user ‘SYS’. The ownership of this INDEX is inconsistent with the ownership of the other GIS database INDEXES.
Error Message
Oracle error: ORA-01418: specified index does not exist
