Problem
Disabling of the execute disable bit through F1 Setup is getting re-enabled by Microsoft Windows 2012. Windows 2012 will run only on No Execute (NX)-capable processors and NX must be enabled. Affected configurations
The system may be any of the following IBM servers:
- System x3500 M4, type 7383, any model
The system is configured with at least one of the following:
- Microsoft Windows Server 2012, any service pack
This tip is not option specific.
