Problem
ACN6076I message is returned during an Exchange backup operation in a DAG environment.
Symptom
In an Exchange DAG environment the following message might be returned during a backup performed by Tivoli Data Protection for Exchange:
ACN6076I <DBNAME> cannot be backed up because its 'BackupInProgress' flag is set to 'True'. Check whether the database is being backed up by a different server
Cause
The above message is part of new functions starting with Tivoli Storage Manager for Mail - Tivoli Data Protection for Exchange 6.4 and later.
The Tivoli Data Protection for Exchange is now DAG cluster-aware and thus can ensure only one DB is backed up.
The message is only Informational and can be safely ignored.
Resolving The Problem
Best practice is to backup only the passive copy. In this case IBM Storage Protect for Mail - Data Protection for Microsoft Exchange Server detected that, at that time, a copy of the DB is already being backed up in DAG cluster.

the following parameters can be verified for a better implementation of Tivoli Data Protection for Exchange in a DAG environment
/PREFERDAGPASSIVE
/EXCLUDEDAGPASSIVE

/EXCLUDENONDAGDBS
Moreover to maximize availability, schedule multiple servers to back up copies of each database.
Use the /MINIMUMBACKUPINTERVAL option to ensure only one copy is backed up for each backup cycle.
