'Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown' when running Excel link spreadsheet

Troubleshooting

Problem

User opens Excel link spreadsheet (.XLS) file. User clicks on 'Controller - Reports - Refresh F9'. After a period of time, user sees 'Calling RunReport' at bottom-left corner of screen. Eventually, user receives error message.
