Resolving The Problem

QUESTION:

When attempting to record a script against our Java-based browser (IE 5.5)
application with VM version 1.3.1, a button click at the login page causes the
application-under-test to crash and disappear from the desktop.

Error Message:

"Unexpected Signal: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION occurred at PC=0x6c5b2c59
Function name=sqlofmblkEx
Library=D:\SQLLIB\BIN\DB2SYS.dll"

How can I fix this problem?

ANSWER:

Install the Java Enabler if it was not installed previously.

If it was installed previously, search the entire client computer for any
instances of the SQARobot.jar file and delete them all. Then, re-install the
Java Enabler. Chose the "Complete" option.
Robot should successfully record after re-installing the Java Enabler.
