IBM Support

EventReader Filters not applied to SQL select statement

Troubleshooting

Problem

The contents of the Filters in the EventReader are not being applied to the SQL statement being sent out by the EventReader

Symptom

The outgoing SQL statements are simply:

    select top 1000 * from alerts.status where StateChange >= 1234567890 AND Class != 10500 order by StateChange ;

and ALL events in the ObjectServer are being captured and processed over and over again.

* except for Class 10500 events (Impact Self Monitoring synthetic events) - see TechNote "EventReader filters out Class 10500 event by default" [link below].
