Eventlogging:No does not stop all messages to Event Viewer.

Question

Certain messages from the Tivoli Storage Manager Client are still being logged to the Event Viewer even when the service is configured not to log messages to the Event Viewer.

Answer

When you configure the Tivoli Storage Manager Client Scheduler service to NOT send Windows Event Logs to the Event Viewer with the option "Eventlogging:No" only detailed logging messages are disabled. Some basic messages will still be logged in the Event Viewer such as the final result code messages. For example :
