Troubleshooting
Problem
When esadmin system startall or esadmin system stopall commands are issued at the command line for IBM Content Analytics, nothing happens and system is inaccessible. esadmin check also does not return.
Resolving The Problem
Execute the command ps -ef|grep esadmin on command line and see if it shows any esadmin processes and if any of them are esadmin system startall or esadmin system stopall commands. If you do find them it is possible that each of these commands is waiting for the other to complete.
- Kill each of these processes
- Perform another esadmin system stopall
- Perform an esadmin check to verify that no process is still running
- Verify using ps - ef as well. Start the system using esadmin system startall and it should show that it completed successfully
