Errors when saving Form layout, caused by Looping Summation (circular reference)

Troubleshooting


Problem

User launches 'Maintain - Form structure - Define'. User selects form (for example "BSA2" or whatever). User clicks 'Excel link button' to modify 'layout'. Excel link opens and displays/presents the user the form. User clicks the 'save' button. User receives an error message

Symptom

The screen error message received depends on the version of Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE6 or IE7) installed on the client device (for example desktop PC or Citrix/Terminal Server).

IE7:
