Error: Unknown repository error when playing back a Robot Gui script

Troubleshooting

Problem

This technote explains how to resolve an error, "Unknown repository" that can occur when playing back a GUI script using IBM Rational Robot.

Symptom

When running GUI scripts, an "unknown repository error" is encountered every time the user executes a GUI script with the same log name. The GUI script runs fine if a different log name is used.

Cause

Each log requires 1 folder and 1 RTXML file. When the RTXML file is missing, an "unknown repository error" is encountered.

Resolving The Problem

Rename the log folder (for example: LogName1_backup.log) and then run the GUI script again with exactly the same name (the log name causing the error message). This will create a new log folder and RTXML file. The same log name can be used again. The log folder can be found in the directory:
[Project root]\TestDatastore\TMS_Builds\[Build Name].Build\Default.LogFolder\[Log Name].log.
