Error 'Server was unable to process request ... Permission denied ... Zone of the assembly...' when launching Controller client

Troubleshooting


Problem

User launches Controller. After entering the details inside the login screen (e.g. ADM/***, Actuality etc), they immediately receive an error message.

Symptom

Error


System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request.
System.Security.SecurityException: Permission denied
at FrUserManagerB.UserManagerBClass.GetCurrentUsers(String sGuid,
String sUser)
at Cognos.Controller.Proxy.CCRWS.UserManager_GetCurrentUsers(String
sGUID, String sUser)
The Zone of the assembly that failed was: MyComputer
