Problem
Running a Cognos Business Intelligence metric extract against an Oracle relational source, the extract fails with error.
Symptom
PD-MD-0089 An error occurred during the metric values query for the extract '<EXTRACT_NAME>'.
RQP-DEF-01777 An error occurred while performing operation 'sqlOpenResult' status='-28'.
UDA-SQL-0114 The cursor supplied to the operation "sqlOpenResult" is inactive.
UDA-SQL-0107 A general exception has occurred during the operation "open result".
ORA-01858: a non-numeric character was found when a numeric character was expected
