ERROR: "Problems executing Report", when attempting to run a report

Troubleshooting


Problem

This technote explains the error, "Problems executing Report. SetCRReport: Caught Cexception", when trying to run a report or edit a report format in IBM® Rational® ClearQuest® and Crystal Reports®.

Symptom

When trying to run a report, the following error occurs:


Problems executing Report
SetCRReport:  Caught Cexception (An error was detected retrieving information from the ClearQuest database.
There is a reference to an object that does not exist:
Object Type:  FieldPath
Object:  "Fieldname" of record type "Defect"
This error was detected at: ClearQuest Core: adentitydef.cpp: 3463
Recommendation: If you cannot determine how to resolve this issue, contact Rational Support and provide all the above information as well as a description of the context in which the message occurred.)

When trying to edit the report format , the following error message occurs:


An error was detected retrieving information from the ClearQuest database.
There is a reference to an object that does not exist:
