Resolving The Problem

Consider the following options to circumvent the problem.

  • Do not use underscores in registry server hostnames.

  • Point to a dummy server name during install. Then change it to the real registry server through the product applet after you completed the installation.

  • In large deployments, you can use silent installation response files. In the response file you can specify hostnames with an underscore. See technote 1380985 for instructions.
