Error: ORA-12514 Connection refused (when using Oracle DB)

Troubleshooting


Problem

After MDM installation, the following command is run ./madconfig.sh Configure_MasterDataManagement After entering the wasadmin password, mdmadmin password, db password, WAS password for Inspector, Enterprise Viewer, WebReports, the following error may be seen: Checking database credentials for MDM. [2016-04-11 15:21:09,934] [main] ERROR com.ibm.mdm.de.ant.task. TestDBConnection.execute(Line:77) - java.sql. SQLNonTransientConnectionException: [IBM][Oracle JDBC Driver][Oracle] ORA-12514 Connection refused, the specified service name (xxxxxxx) was not recognized by the Oracle server.
