Problem
If you get the error "ORA-00942: table or view does not exist" in Rational® XDE™, the user should have privileges to the system tables.
Resolving The Problem
The "ORA-009422: table or view does not exist" generally means that the user does not have sufficient permission's to the database. If you receive this error "ORA-00942: table or view does not exist" while reverse engineering an Oracle schema into Rational XDE, make sure that the user you connect as has been granted the ‘DBA’ role and the ‘SYSDBA’ system privilege.
