Error Message:"java.security.PrivilegedActionException: org.apache.bsf.BSFException" when trying to ping engine

Troubleshooting


Problem

User is attempting to start up a new instance of the Master Data Engine. The service does not start and no log files are created. When attempting to ping the engine, the following error message is returned. madeng_mpinet_ping: JAN 1, 2008 12:00:00 AM org.apache.bsf.BSFManager exec SEVERE: Exception : java.security.PrivilegedActionException: org.apache.bsf.BSFException: The application script threw an exception: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused BSF info: ANT at line: 0 column: columnNo at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at org.apache.bsf.BSFManager.exec(BSFManager.java:491) at org.apache.tools.ant.util.optional.ScriptRunner
