error message : 'Premature end of file' or 'Kerberos authentication was requested'

Troubleshooting


Problem

When testing the data source connection within BIRT designer, using a C&DS data source and credentials, an error occurs: Kerberos authentication was requested but is not supported by the oracle server. When validating the datasource having added a BIRT designer report into a C&DS Job the following error occurs: nested exception is: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: Premature end of file.

Symptom

The SPSSCMOR__CREDENTIALS table of the C&DS repository database contains encrypted passwords which are marked with a keystore index of 1 ({AES:1}). This file should normally only contain encrypted password values with no keystore index or with the keystore index set to 0.

For example : if the SPSSCMOR__CREDENTIALS table contains a password value of
'{AES:0}n9rZedTLIWxKemv8+f0W' it means that the credential password was encrypted with keystore encryption.
