Error message "Document update failed" in log file when a data module is created using a data server as a source.

Troubleshooting


Problem

When creating a data module and using a data server as a source, the following error message may appear under the product log in the p2pd_message.log file or search component log file. com.ibm.bi.search.extension.indices.SearchModuleExt Search: Document update failed for Module Index.

Resolving The Problem

This error message does not indicate a problem in the search index, it can safely be ignored.
