Problem

IBM Cognos Metrics Manager 1.1 Windows 2000 Description: Unable to use the Cognos Metrics Manager user interface. Error Message - Error: Failed Logon:com.jnetdirect.jsql.u: TCP/IP connection failed to host:java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect url:jdbc:JSQLConnect://servername/database=cmm Please verify the connection to the database and restart the servlet container. Solution: Steps - 1. Open Configuration Manager. 2. In the Explorer pane, go to Cognos Metrics Manager and select the Microsoft SQL server datastore component. 3. Ensure the entries for database URL and database host are correct. If changes are made, select Cognos Metrics Manager in the Explorer pane and from the Actions menu, click Apply Selection.
