ERROR: Failed to login to ClearQuest database x with saved user name and password

Troubleshooting


Problem

This technote explains how to resolve a "Failed to login to ClearQuest database" error, which might occur in an IBM® Rational® ClearQuest® and ClearCase® UCM integration with the Base (V2) integration applied.

Symptom

The full error message is:


Failed to login to ClearQuest database SAMPL with saved username and password, which may mean you are using the wrong database repository or the wrong logon name and password.  Do you wish to re-enter logon name and password?
