Resolving The Problem

This is a known issue and has been fixed in the upcoming Rational Functional Tester (RFT) version 8.6.0.3. For older versions of RFT, you will need to install the extension manually.

Workaround

  1. Launch Mozilla Firefox

  2. Drag and drop the file FunctionalTester\bin\enabler\RFTFirefoxExtension.xpi on to Firefox. It will prompt you to Install install the extension

  3. Restart the browser

  4. Enable the extension through Tools->Add-ons.

Note: You will not be impacted if the extension was already present and enabled before the upgrade.
