Problem
Unable to add or remove users. The following errors are displayed: p8_server_error.log: com.filenet.api.exception.EngineRuntimeException: E_OBJECT_NOT_FOUND: The requested item was not found. propertyName=Permissions, referenced principal=S-1-5-21-448539723-1767777339-1801674531-1465350 failedBatchItem=0 errorStack={ at eDM Client: vError Code DYRS4003E ROLE_UPDATE_FAILURE: Failed to add users to role "{80778FAA-79DE-4D06-99E0-2438B44F596D}
Cause
Administrator user removed from the LDAP server but not removed in FileNet Content Engine using the FileNet Enterprise Manager or ACCE Adminstration tools to remove the user from P8 first.
When a user is removed from the P8 environment the user must be removed in P8 first and then removed on the LDAP server. If this is not done an orphaned SID remains. In this case the orphaned SID was preventing access to the users to be removed.
Resolving The Problem
Delete the orphaned SID from all objects where it exists.
