Error during runtime library compilation: conflicting types for 'malloc'

Troubleshooting


Problem

IBM Rational Test RealTime compiles the Target Deployment Port (TDP) runtime library during the linking stage of a build process. On a 64-bit Linux operating system you might get error messages.

Symptom

On 64-bit Linux computers you might see the following error messages


/.../TestRealTime.7.5.0.0/targets/clinuxgnu/lib/atp.c:2958: error: conflicting types for 'malloc'
/.../TestRealTime.7.5.0.0/targets/clinuxgnu/lib/atp.c:2972: error: conflicting types for 'calloc'
/.../TestRealTime.7.5.0.0/targets/clinuxgnu/lib/atp.c:3019: error: conflicting types for 'realloc'
