Problem
This technote explains how to resolve a Debug Assertion Failed error, that can occur when using IBM Rational Functional Tester in Microsoft Windows 7.
Symptom
If a user is playing back a script using IBM Rational Functional Tester on Microsoft Windows 7 within Microsoft Internet Explorer 8, they receive a error stating "Debug Assertion Failed," from the browser and locks up Rational Functional Tester.
