Problem
This technote explains why the error, "Database
Symptom
When creating a schema repository, this error occurs:
Error: Database <DB Name> does not support 1252 (MS Windows Latin 1) characters. As a result, database creation failed. Click Back to correct your input and try again.
The value <DB Name> reflects the name of the backend database to which the Maintenance Tool is connecting.
