Problem
I.T. administrator launches Cognos Configuration, and opens the section 'Data Access - Content Manager - Content Store'. Administrator configures the value for 'Database server with port number or...' with the value 'servername:1433'. Administrator right-clicks on 'Content Store' and clicks 'test'. Administrator receives error message.

Cognos Configuration is performing the following tasks:
Generating cryptographic information
Testing Content Manager database connection
Close Details
[Content Manager database connection]
1. [ ERROR ] The database connection failed.
2. [ ERROR ] Content Manager is unable to access the content store. Verify your database connection parameters, and then contact your database administrator for assistance.
