Problem
Attempting to add tables to new DB2 database during Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) installation/setup fails with a DB2 error, DB2 SQL Error: SQLCODE=-968, SQLSTATE=57011, CRJAZ0265E The database resource or the virtual storage is not available
Symptom
In Jazz Team Server (JTS) setup the following error is thrown after clicking "Create Tables" for one of the ELM database, e.g. the JTS database:
One or more database tables could not be created. Try the action again ID CRAZ1571E
The following error is found in the application log, e.g. the jts.log:
2021-03-01 13:36:25,196 [ jts: Database creation] ERROR y.service.internal.DatabaseCreationProgressService - The database creation failed with an exception com.ibm.team.repository.common.RetryableDatabaseException: CRJAZ1318E The server could not connect to the database. Try the operation again. CRJAZ0265E The database resource or the virtual storage is not available. SQL: CREATE LARGE TABLESPACE CONTENTTS MANAGED BY AUTOMATIC STORAGE AUTORESIZE YES INITIALSIZE 4000000K DROPPED TABLE RECOVERY OFF SQL Exception #1 SQL Message: DB2 SQL Error: SQLCODE=-968, SQLSTATE=57011, SQLERRMC=null, DRIVER=4.26.14 SQL State: 57011 Error Code: -968
