Troubleshooting
Problem
After upgrading TLS version to TLS 1.2 Cognos services fail to start with the following error :
StartService LogService FAILED Log Server Database error <parameters><item name="DB URL">
jdbc:sqlserver://XXX:1433;databaseName=cognos11_audit_QA]]></item><item name="DB Error">
The driver could not establish a secure connection to SQL Server by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption. Error: "SQL Server did not return a response. The connection has been closed.
Symptom
Cognos services will fail eventually with the following error message :
CFG-ERR-0106 IBM Cognos Configuration did not receive a response from the IBM Cognos service in the time allotted.
Check that IBM Cognos service is available and properly configured.
