Error code 408 or keyfile could not be found error, when logging into ClearQuest

Problem

This technote explains how to resolve the errors, "A keyfile could not be found" or "error code 408". Either error can occur when using IBM Rational ClearQuest with LDAP and SSL authentication.

Symptom

When ClearQuest is configured for LDAP with SSL authentication, an "error code 408" might occur. In some situations, this error occurs instead of the error code:


    A keyfile could not be found. Make sure the database is configured with a keyfile location or a keyfile exists in the default location. User requires LDAP to authenticate
