Objective

Error  "This application does not support this version of IIS" when trying to install Tealeaf on Server 2016 with IIS10.

Environment

Any Tealeaf fixpacks below FP6

Steps

If installing FP6 or higher is not an option, then after running an installer (for example for FP5), 

Extract TLIIS7Utility.exe and TLUtility.exe from FP7 installer (found at .../SOURCEFILES/Tools/Install), or found them attached here to this article.

then replace TLIIS7Utility.exe and  TLUtility.exe in the same folder for FP5 installer.

Run TLIIS7Utility.exe as an administrator.

When Utility comes up on the screen:

  1. Select "Portal" then "Execute"
  2. Select "Web Services" then "Execute"

After successful run, check IIS and verify that Portal and PortalAPI virtual directories were created successfully.

Note:  This does now work for Windows 2016 using Global FixPack5.
