Error 500: HTTP Web Server: Lotus Notes Exception - Invalid or nonexistent document

Resolving The Problem

The following example shows when this error message might occur:

  1. First the composition from Web runs as expected.
  2. You click Back to Templates.
  3. During the compositions following the first composition, the browser issues the message: Error 500: HTTP Web Server: Lotus Notes Exception - Invalid or nonexistent document.

To avoid Error 500 you must:
  • Delete all .tmp files (cdwork directory)
  • Delete all doccms*db*.nsf files (domino data directory)
  • Delete all .trc files (cdwork or log directory)
  • Disable the Cache in your browser

Note: If you do not delete the temporary databases (doccms*db*.nsf) and files, the composition process may fail.
