Custom Equipment Lists

Use custom equipment lists to define which equipment typesand sizes your users can select for shipments in Sterling TMS. By default Sterling TMS provides abroad range of equipment types that are used by our subscribers. Youcan set up your custom equipment lists to filter this list and onlyshow the equipment types that your organization works with.

Youset up custom equipment lists in Step 1 of Shipper Configuration.

Equipment Lists

Use equipment lists to organize and group together relatedequipment types.

For example you might want to create a Dryvan equipmentlist that contains 45-foot 53-foot and 57-foot dryvans. Your userscan select this list for shipments and then the carrier can selectthe specific trailer size for each load.

You set up equipmentlists in Step 7 of Shipper Configuration.

Equipment Capacity

The Equipment Capacity feature in Step 1 of Shipper Configurationis designed to support specific shipper workflows. For example ashipper might want to specify how many motorcycles or all-terrainvehicles can fit in a certain trailer type and size.
