Release Notes
Abstract
The password expiration date for users created in the MaaS360 is enhanced to unlimited password expiry.
Content
The user password expiration date is set to 90 days from the last time that the user changed the password. Users created in the MaaS360 user directory can now set the password to Never by enabling the Customer Property.
- For existing customers: The unlimited password expiration is set through Customer Property enablement. The feature is available to all users that were created before and after the Customer Property is enabled.
- For new customers: The user password expiration date is set to 90 days. A schedule of email alerts are sent to users at intervals of 30, 15, 7, 3, 2, or 1 day to remind them that their password is about to expire. This email includes a link that the user can use to reset their password. To request for unlimited password expiry, please contact the customer support to enable the Customer Property. There are two conditions for requesting the unlimited password expiry:
- Condition1: Users that were created before the Customer Property request cannot have unlimited password expiry, only the users created after the request are eligible.
- Condition2: If users that were created before the Customer Property request also require unlimited password expiry, then the users must reset the password.
