Enabling the Supervisor Mode for specific stations in Datacap Desktop

How To

Summary

By using the "Batch Queuing to Specific Users and Stations" feature, users can define the users and stations that can open and process a batch through a task.

Sometimes, supervisor users require the ability to monitor and execute any pending or on-hold batch for a specific task, regardless of the "Queue by" setting enabled.

The following steps provide an alternative for enabling such supervisor stations by creating a DcDesktop.ini file inside the \Datacap\DcDesktop folder. This feature is only available for tasks whose shortcut is set to manual for hold mode. If other mode is enabled, the batches will on be visible for the users or stations specified by the "Queue by" setting.

Steps

1. Using a text editor, create a DcDesktop.ini file inside the \Datacap\DcDesktop path of the supervisor station.
2. Add the following content to the file and save it:
[Settings]
QueueSupervisorMode=1
3. Relaunch Datacap Desktop and login with a valid user ID.
4. Under the "All" shortcut, the user will be able to view all the pending or on hold batches of the specific task, regardless of the "Queue by" setting.
